Original oil finished straight hand stock showing a nice amount of natural figure fitted with a slim Kickeez rubber recoil pad, the stock is accompanied by a matching game style forend with a blued push rod release catch and fine cut scroll engraved forend tip.

Detailed game scene engraved action and lock plates engraved with various gamebirds and gun dogs, the left hand lock plate shows a single pointer and small covey of partridge while the right hand lock plate displays a pointer with a trio of pheasants.

The Webley and Scott name has been engraved in gold coloured inlay on each lockplate together with the full name on the centre rib 'Webley & Scott Ltd 78 Shaftesbury Avenue. London.

A pair of well balanced 29" fixed choke barrels sit alongside the action, both bores measure very well in terms of proof and wall thickness and both bores are clean and crisp.

Beautiful fine cut scroll engraved action fences and barrel clips with a blued scroll engraved top lever and pointed trigger guard tang.

Supplied complete in a leather case although not the original maker's leather case.
